The Relentless SPORTS INJURY REHAB Clinic
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Relentless Sports Injury Rehabilitation Clinic?
At the Relentless Spots Injury Rehab Clinic, we help athletes to not only recover from their sports injury but return them to sport STRONGER than they were before.
Competitive sport is stressful. Female athletes who suffer from injuries such as sprains, strains, tears, and fractures are those athletes who are often ill-prepared to handle the stressors of their sport. When the stress is too large for a body to handle, injuries occur!
With the typical rehabilitation model, athletes receive treatment for their joint specific injury and return to their sport in the same physical state prior to their injury.
Permitting athletes to return to their sport in the same state they were in prior to injury puts them at risk for re-injury; they are still under-prepared to handle the stressors of their sport!
With the Relentless approach, we bridge the gap between rehabilitation and strength training for the female athlete – because when rehabilitation is facilitated correctly, rehab IS strength training.
At Relentless Rehab, female athletes receive rehabilitation treatment surrounded by like-minded females who are either rehabbing their injuries OR working hard to improve their strength for enhanced performance in their respective sports.
We empower our athletes to rehab and strengthen the physical and psychological factors surrounding their injury by providing an environment that facilitates positivity and support.
This model provides more than just rehab to an athlete, it also helps to develop their confidence so they can return to their sport stronger than ever.
Is this the same as physical therapy?
We like to say Relentless Sports Injury Rehab is one step beyond physical therapy!
Jillian Seamon, MS, LAT, ATC our in-house Athletic Trainer, is certified and physician-supervised to deliver high-quality rehabilitation, specifically to an active female population.
At Relentless Rehab, we provide a comprehensive program that integrates injury specific strength, full body strength, and sport-specific drills for EACH athlete.
This process provides injury rehabilitation AND improved full body strength and athleticism.
Do you accept insurance?
We are an out of network provider. Depending on the type of insurance you have, most patients can receive reimbursement for their treatment!
We are able to provide you with the appropriate receipts and treatment codes necessary to file your claim with your insurance company. The amount of reimbursement depends on your insurance plan. If you are unsure what your insurance company is able to cover, we recommend you inquire with them the reimbursement rates for “out of network expenses”.
As every insurance plan is different, we do our best to price-match our services to the cost of most insurance co-payments!
Do I need a prescription from a doctor for physical therapy or rehabilitation?
We are a direct access provider! In Pennsylvania, this means you do NOT need a prescription from a doctor for up to 30 days after your first visit!
Some insurance plans require a referral for out of network medical services. We recommend you check with your insurance company prior to your first visit to ensure you can receive reimbursement coverage!
How often do you see clients?
Each athlete is different and requires her own treatment plan that best fits her needs! On average, most athletes require 2x/wk treatment for about a month!
As an out of network provider, we are able to spend 60-90 minutes with our athletes and provide them with the necessary time and education to help them return to the field or court with the strength and confidence they need to excel!
The duration of each athlete’s rehabilitation plan will be discussed in your first visit with us.
