STRENGTH COACH INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
An Internship at Relentless Athletics will present you with the opportunity to experience hands-on, individualized coaching for FEMALE athletes with a weightlifting emphasis in a semi-private setting. You will be able to gain experience working with athletes ranging from high school, collegiate division I, II, III, competitive weightlifters, and recreational athletes
As a Relentless intern, you will have the opportunity to compliment your hands-on experience with a weekly Staff In Service. This classroom curriculum focuses on continuing education in program design, coaching tactics, return to play, and more pertaining to female athlete development.
We work closely with our interns to help them develop a unique coaching styles, assessment protocols, program design, and other skill sets necessary for training the female athlete.
All interns are provided with Relentless apparel as well as free participation in any seminars held here our outside of our facility during their time with us.
Expectations of all Applicants
Be competent teaching dynamic warm ups and individual warm ups
Demonstrate a knowledge of strength training techniques & an eagerness to learn how to implement weightlifting with the female athlete population
Be excited to learn and accepting of constructive criticism
Must be comfortable interacting with athletes, parents, etc.
Be able to help cultivate and maintain the unique environment present at Relentless
Present yourself in a manner that will reinforce your status as a role model for impressionable young female athletes
The program is 10-12 weeks and requires around 15hrs per week
Fall: Starts Sept.1st -/ App. Deadline: July 1st
Winter: Starts Jan 6th / App. Deadline Nov 1st
Spring: Starts March 9th / App. Deadline Jan 1st
Summer: Starts June 15th/ App. Deadline April 1st

APPROXIMATE HOURS PER WEEK : 15 hours
WORK DAYS AND TIMES :
Work days will be primary Mon-Fri with possible Sundays depending on the season of the internship,
Summer: varies 9-12pm & 4-7pm
Fall, Spring Summer: Varies 4-9pm
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS : Applicants must be working towards a bachelor’s degree in exercise science or a related field.
